Dear Emerson Community,
With only 24 days to go until Workday goes live we are headed into the final stages of implementation! Introduction to Workday classes began last week and to date over 200 Boston staff members have attended! Thank you for joining us.
This week brought the addition of ‘FIN 101’ and ‘Workday for Managers’ classes. Check your invitations prior to coming to training as not all class are held in the same location and some have even moved. You will need to go through DUO Authentication for both the ‘Intro to Workday’ and ‘Workday for Managers’ sessions, so please come prepared.
Boston faculty and staff are invited to attend any classes currently available. Workday classes will be offered throughout the summer and fall for anyone who is not able to attend the initial sessions now. For those of you that have not signed up, please visit our sign up sheet and schedule your classes today!
ELA staff and faculty will participate in Zoom training sessions throughout June and July.
The following Level II Finance Classes are now available:
- Cost Center Approver
o This 1.5 hour session is intended for those individuals who have been assigned to the role of Cost Center Approver for their department. Please confirm with your V.P. that you are in this role before enrolling.
- Procure to Pay
o This two-hour session is for those who buy goods or pay for services. This session covers requisitions, Marketplace, check requests, and submitting invoices for payment to Accounts Payable.
- Expense Management
o If you have a Wells Fargo PCard or submit travel and business expense reimbursement requests to Accounts Payable, this two-hour session is for you!
Once you've determined which of these classes are best for you, visit our sign-up sheet to enroll.
On July 1, the link to Workday will be available through eCommon and the Finance and HR Websites.
As you may know, a new Emerson.edu will be launched this summer. When the website goes live, eCommon as currently conceived will be “replaced” by
audience specific landing pages. Those pages will refer to Workday and as necessary, SSB. The old site will continue to operate as content is migrated to the new one. During that time eCommon will continue function (on the old site) as a courtesy for those who rely on its interface. eCommon will be deactivated at the completion of the migration.
