Overview of Screen a Candidate 

Follow the steps below to complete the Phone / Skype Interview task in Workday.

Instructions for Screening a Candidate

  1. When a candidate has been moved to the Phone / Skype Interview stage, a task will appear in the inbox of the Primary Recruiter or Search Committee Chair, respectively, to screen the candidate.

  2. After screening the candidate outside of Workday, access the inbox task. Choose to either

    1. Recommend for onsite interview.

    2. Decline: Select the appropriate disposition reason.

What Happens Next?

If you recommended the candidate for an onsite interview, a task will appear in the inbox of the Dean to approve or decline the onsite interview.

If you declined the candidate, their candidate profile will still be available via the Candidates tab on the job requisition, filed under Inactive Candidates
