Edit and Update Job Requisition

Overview of Editing and Updating Job Requisition

Follow these steps to update details of a job requisition, such as a posting’s end date, or to un-post the job.

Instructions for Editing or Updating a Job Requisition

  1. Select the Recruiting application on your Workday homepage.

  2. Select Job Requisition under the View options.

  3. Search for and select the Job Requisition you want to edit. Click OK.

  4. Select the Actions button.

  5. In the pop-up menu, select Job Change and then Edit Job Requisition.

  6. Please select a reason by clicking into the table of contents icon.

  7. Use the following actions to edit the job posting:

    1. Update job posting details:

      1. Click the Action button to the right of the posting, then select Update Job Posting.

      2. Update either the Start Date (if applicable) or End Date of the job posting.

        1. Click Next

      3. Use the pencil icon to update the information on the page as required.

        1. Click Next.

      4. Insure the cost center, position type, and union designation are correct.

        1. Click Next.

      5. Review compensation information is accurate.

        1. Click Next.

      6. Click Submit.

    2. To un-post the job: Please email or your appropriate academic administrator.
