COVID-19 Special Work Arrangements for Faculty and Staff

Overview

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the College recognizes some employees may have concerns regarding working on campus. The COVID-19 Special Work Arrangement is a temporary process for faculty and staff whose age or health condition(s) falls within one of the CDC’s High Risk Categories or who have other special circumstances. This process allows employees to make the College aware of their individual situation and seek an adjustment to their work arrangements.

  • The COVID-19 Special Work Arrangement is different from the Reasonable Accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

  • Each situation is different and is evaluated on a case by case basis.

  • HR will determine if the COVID-19 Special Work Arrangement or the Reasonable Accommodation is appropriate.

  • It is the responsibility of the individual requesting the COVID-19 Special Work Arrangement to provide sufficient information, upon request, to support the need for the requested arrangement.

Please fill out the COVID-19 Special Work Arrangements form and then email the completed form to hr@emerson.edu or click the ‘Submit A Request’ button above and upload the form to the request.
