LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an on-demand online learning platform offering thousands of high-quality courses taught by industry experts, thought leaders, and experienced practitioners. Content spans technical skills, leadership and management, teaching and learning, creative tools, and personal effectiveness. Courses are available anytime, on any device, making it easy to learn at your own pace, whether you have five minutes or an hour.

Faculty and Staff

LinkedIn Learning supports continuous professional development by providing practical, relevant learning aligned to real workplace needs. It can:

  • help build skills for current roles

  • prepare for future opportunities

  • support institutional initiatives, including leadership development, inclusive teaching practices, change management, and digital fluency.

Learning paths, short videos, and skill-based recommendations make it easy to target growth areas without adding to an already full schedule.

Students

LinkedIn Learning bridges academic learning with career readiness. Courses help students build in-demand skills, explore career interests, and gain confidence with tools and competencies valued by employers.

Because learning activities can connect to their LinkedIn profile, students can translate what they learn into a visible demonstration of skills, supporting internships, job searches, and long-term career success.

Activate Your Account

LinkedIn Learning is free to faculty, staff and students when you sign up with your Emerson credentials.

Data Privacy

Emerson has an enterprise agreement with LinkedIn Learning. Under that agreement, your Learning activity (courses viewed, AI Coach interactions, and other usage data) is treated as Emerson's data and is not used to serve targeted ads on or off LinkedIn, or to train LinkedIn's or Microsoft's content-generating AI models. This is different from the terms that apply to free LinkedIn.com accounts, which are governed by LinkedIn's public Privacy Policy.

If you choose to connect a personal LinkedIn profile to your Learning account, activity associated with your personal profile on LinkedIn.com is governed by LinkedIn's standard Privacy Policy. Connecting a profile is optional. You can use LinkedIn Learning at Emerson without connecting a personal LinkedIn profile.
