Eligible dependents under Emerson's medical, dental and vision plans are U.S. citizens or legal residents and are:
- Your lawfully married spouse*
- Your children including:
- Your biological children,
- Your legally adopted children,
- Your stepchildren, or any other child permanently living with you for whom you are the legal guardian.
You can cover your children as dependents if they:
- Are younger than 26 years of age; or
- Were disabled adults when you began employment with Emerson College and you enrolled the child when you were first eligible to do so.
*Note that domestic partners and ex-spouses are not eligible dependents under these plans.
